New individual project funding by DFG for Elena Meyer-Clement

Elena Meyer-Clement (in cooperation with René Trappel, University of Freiburg) has raised over EUR 280,000 of funding from the DFG (German Science Foundation) for a new research project on “Steering Urban-Rural Integration: Administrative Reconfiguration for a Unified Citizenship”. The project aims to provide a profound understanding of the implemention of new political concepts by the Chinese leadership under Xi Jinping to restructure the relationship of city and countryside. Methodologically, the project is based on extensive fieldwork. It includes a PhD researcher to be based at FU Berlin.
