Genia Kostka is University Professor and Director of the Institute of Chinese Studies in the Department of History and Cultural Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Her research addresses digital governance and transformation in China, environmental politics, political economy, and state–business relations. She holds an ERC Starting Grant (2020–2026) for a project on data-driven governance in authoritarian China.
