EATS travel grant (Taiwan)

European Associataion of Taiwan Studies EATS offers several small grants in order to encourage, support, and promote research projects about or related to Taiwan in the humanities and social sciences. The grants are to partially cover the cost of organising conferences, lectures or seminars, recruiting research assistance, establishing archival digitalisation, conducting fieldwork, interpretation, transcribing, publication, or single-authored presentation at conferences, workshops, or seminars.

Researchers who carry on research projects about or related to Taiwan are eligible to apply. It is a prerequisite to acquiring EATS membership for the application for this grant. Information about EATS membership benefits can be found here. Please visit EATS website for the registration of EATS membership.

Applicants who have received EATS Library Grant, Young Scholar Award or Taiwan Studies Dissertation Award may apply for this grant, but at least two years should have elapsed since the previous grant or award. This is in order to have EATS funding to be enjoyed by a broad number of members. Current EATS Board Members are not eligible for any of these grants or award.
