This seminar looks at"worlds of intellectual life" that still confound some of our simple impressions about what intellectuals do in China: the official world, academic world, commercial world, associational worlds, virtual worlds of the Internet (Weibo world), waiyu world of foreign language engagement, and the world of dissent.
