Kenneth Mori McElwain is Associate Professor at the Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo and currently visiting fellow at St Antony's College at Oxford University. His research focuses on comparative political institutions, most recently on differences in constitutional content across countries. He pbtained his PhD in political science from Stanford University. He has taught at several universities before, among others the University of Michigan. His work has been published in a number of journals and edited volumes, including American Journal of Political Science, Journal of East Asian Studies and Social Science Japan.
