Prof Jung is Vice-Director of Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies and Chair of the Dept.of Sociology at Seoul National University. He  interested in social history, social movement, sociology of the body and colonial modernity. He joins GEAS at the Institute of Korean Studies from February-August 2016 and will give a research seminar in summer semester on "East Asian post-cold war and memory politcs".
