This seminar takes up the "mega-FTAs" currently under negotiation, and analyzes their possible impact on global trade and investment governance. They are the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership), the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), and the TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership). The seminar analyzes the background and traces the negotiating process of each mega-FTA, and analyzes their possible contents. It finally makes assessment of the impacts of the mega-FTAs on global trade and investment governance, focusing on their innovative rules governing international trade and investment activities, and on the possibility of their convergence (or divergence).
