Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed agreements for promoting high quality research opportunities for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from outstanding Chinese universities. With more than 300 CSC scholarship holders, Freie Universität Berlin is one the most important host university in Germany and is a major partner university of the CSC. The program includes all fields of studies (except engineering programs) at Freie Universität Berlin.

The Center for International Cooperation at Freie Universität is calling for applications every year. Applicants who wish to apply for GEAS should apply at the graduate school first and can be nominated to FUB-CSC as applicants any time during selection.

After a succesful selection by FUB-CSC, applicants must apply to the China Scholarship Council directly.
