Korea Foundation Field Research Mobility Grant

For the purpose of promoting research in Korean studies abroad, the KF Fellowship for Field Research has been established to provide eminent Korean studies scholars abroad and experts in relevant fields with the opportunity to conduct on-site field research in Korea and access to resource materials.

The Foundation offers a onthlym stipend of KRW 2,000,000 to KRW 3,000,000 according to research experience

Fellowship period: Minimum one month to maximum twelve months

Eligibility

Overseas researchers of Korean studies or Korea-related comparative/case studies in the fields of humanities or social sciences who fall under one of the following criteria:
(1) Doctoral candidates who have completed their requisite coursework and are in the process of writing their doctoral dissertation
(2) Lecturers or researchers with a minimum of five years of teaching or research experience at a university or a research institute
(3) Assistant professors or individuals currently in a professional/research field with a minimum of ten years and less than 20 years of career experience (※ Doctoral degree holders only)
(4) Full professors, associate professors or individuals currently in a professional/research field with at least 20 years of career experience (※ Doctoral degree holders only)
※ Although related to Korea, research on topics of natural science or engineering is not supported.
